I’ve written four works of nonfiction and two of fiction. I’ve taught creative writing at NYU and elsewhere. My articles and essays have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Believer, and many other outlets. My book IDIOPHONE was long listed for The Believer Book Award and the University of Iowa’s Krause Essay Prize.

I’m a volunteer at Girls Write Now and an assistant editor at Autofocus Books.

I live in New York City with my family, which includes one dog.
